    Nicole Aveni

    Nicole joined the US PREP team as a Regional Transformation Specialist (RTS) in 2017. US PREP is a national center, in the College of Education at Texas Tech University, committed to high-quality, university-based teacher preparation and enhancing the accessibility of high-quality teacher preparation programs for all who are interested in becoming an educator. Nicole’s value for education and passion for ensuring all PK-12 students have access to highly effective and prepared teachers drives her work.

    As a Senior RTS, Nicole supports colleges of education and their school district partners in TX, CA, and more in their transformation work. Her support includes consistent on-the-ground and virtual work with deans, department chairs, teacher preparation faculty, district and school leaders, as well as community and philanthropic leaders. Nicole serves as a coach, professional development facilitator, content and resource developer, and driver of systems and structures development for continuous improvement and sustainable change. 

    Nicole holds a Master of Educational Leadership degree from Arizona State University, a Master of Early Childhood Education degree from Walden University, and a Bachelor of Arts Elementary Education degree from Arizona State University.

    Nicole and her family live in Phoenix, Arizona. They enjoy traveling, trying new cuisine, and cheering for her son and nephew at their baseball and football games.
